Finalists for the TIARA 2020 Talent Tech Star Awards have been announced in ten categories to recognise leading enablers of excellence and transformation in recruitment and talent acquisition.
“All 33 finalists shortlisted for the TIARA Talent Tech Star Awards are an inspiration to the HR Tech industry,” said Alex Evans, Programme Director of TALiNT Partners. “These bold and innovative start-ups and scale-ups have demonstrated the value and impact of their solutions at a time when agency and inhouse recruiters are embracing technology and new ways of working.”
“The TIARAs are distinguished by the rigour of its judging process and the quality of its judging panel,” he added. “A range of solutions for employers and agencies have been assessed through five key metrics: excellence in delivery; innovation; sustainable value; business growth; and purpose.”
An impressive panel of judges is chaired by Martin McCourt, former Dyson CEO and now Chairman and Non Executive Director of companies including Weber, HeadBox, Lightfoot, FreeFlow Technologies and The learning Curve Group.
“These Talent Tech Stars represent challengers, disruptors and transformers across the spectrum of business growth, from high potential, early stage start-ups to scaling SMEs,” Martin observed. “What they all have in common is great focus, execution and ambition. They have also validated game-changing innovation and excellent customer service with some solid client and candidate case studies. It will be difficult for the judges to choose winners from such strong shortlists.”
Finalist entries have now gone to the second stage of judging to be scored by a diverse panel of industry leaders, investors, advisers and buyers including: Adam Hawkins, Head of Search & Staffing UK&I and EMEA at LinkedIn; Umerah Akram, Head of London Stock Exchange Group’s ELITE programme; Simon Devonshire OBE, Investor, adviser and former Entrepreneur in Residence at BEIS; Chris Gray, Sales and Marketing Director of ManpowerGroup UK; Parveen Dhanda, Head of Programmes at Tech Nation and Programme Lead, Future Fifty; and Michael Rendell, former Partner and Head of Innovation and Transformation at PwC.
The Freelancer & Contractor Services Association (FCSA) partnered with the Talent Tech Star Awards to recognise innovation and high standards from the top suppliers with the Contractor Solution of the Year.
“The FCSA is proud to sponsor an award that recognises the value delivered by our sector to the UK’s growing population of freelance and contract workers at a time when they need support more than ever. This year’s finalists include some of those leading the industry in the quality of their support and service,” said Julia Kermode, CEO of the FCSA who will also be judging Compliance Solution of the Year.
All judges will convene in July to debate and decide an overall Champion of Champions and all winners will be announced at a virtual awards ceremony on 18th September and tickets are available to book now..
Winners will be profiled in a special supplement published with TALiNT International in October with insights on why they are exemplary for the talent tech sector.
“HR Tech is now a $400 billion global industry that enables employers and recruiters to put the right people in the right jobs and perform better,” said Becky Wilson, Editor of TALiNT International magazine. “Our campaign to highlight the valuable contribution of HR Tech to the wider economy will be brought to life by finalist profiles and insights from judges over the next three months.”
